Le pire, c'est que j'avais vérifié dans le Harap's, j'avais un doute : shoking ou shocking !
J'm'a planté en tapant...

On prononce presque "sha'king" (pas tout à fait mais presque) ... Pas "shoou'king" ... "ck" après une voyelle la rend toujours courte en anglais (pack, fuck, stick, truck, stock, block, deck ...)

De toute façon, l'alphabet latin est impropre à transcrire les phonèmes de l'anglais; Il n'est pas fait pour ça. Il y a des conventions d’orthographe, c'est tout.
